It's not in my hands yet but Brian sent me this final picture from his shop yesterday. I will post more pictures after she arrives. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mandosmiley.gif

Much better bridge than what used to be on it. The asthetics look real nice and all parts are complimentary to each other nicely.

Revray, that looks great. I'm sure it will be a nice partner to your Brian Dean OM.

Brian Dean transforms the art level of the mandolin up a notch. Enjoy that mando!

The violin-esque ridge on that is genius. And the tailpiece...oh yah.

The carved sound hole is based on a Shaker design called the Tree of Life. Each of the fruits on the tree represents of of the nine fruits of the Spirit listed by St. Paul in Galatians 5:22,23. Look it up

Here's a link to a brief sound file. I think this is Brian playing. I have to tell you I love the tone quality I hear in this.

Cool. Very iconographic and violinesque (if that's a word).

Not sure if violinesque is a word but it describes the look Brian and I hoped to achieve. The finish is actually based on violin type varnish.

If you want to see these same pictures and some interesting commentary from Brian go to his website www.bfolk.com and follow the link to these pictures it is really well done. She will be in Kentucky Monday and I can't wait.

Well, she arrived today. To say this is a beautiful mandolin is to damn with faint praise. Brian has outdone himself with this one. I played about 4 hours this evening and it plays and sounds as beautiful as it looks. It has the sweetest, mellowest tone I've ever heard in a mandolin. I think I'm in love.

Here are a couple of shots of the scroll. Scroll shat seem to be obligatory.
