Question about tabs

I have got the 16 gems monroe tab book. I was looking in it and what does the 3 small bars under a few of the numbers mean? I have never seen them on tabs before. Anyone know what i am talking about?

Bump... but I believe that means triplet (three notes played in the time of two). If no one other than I answers try posting in the theory/technique or bluegrass section.

is it 3 horizontal bars on 1 vertical bar? if so, that usually means a tremelo.

It means you tremolo the note(s).
