I just recieved an A-5 J. Bovier mandolin yesterday. They
are made in Korea, but their specs have been selected
through process of elimination, by Jeff Cowherd of mandolins and more. Once he gets them he then does an
additional set up. Its the best sounding import I've ever
owned, I've had a Kentucky KM 675, Rover F, and a Michael
Kelly legacy deluxe F model. It has an ebony bridge, ebony
radiused fret board, and a scooped extension. It has
plenty of volume and a good tone, all for $450.00. you
can check them out in the classifieds under new instruments. It plays good too. I have played several of
the F models as well and they all had similiar tone and volume. Glenn Hurley
