I hope this shameless band self-promotion does not violate any forum rules...if so, I'll delete the post!

My band "Last Road" appeared on South Carolina ETV on 8/24/06, in a one-hour performance for the Bluegrass Express series.

You can watch it via streaming video at:
http://www.myetv.org/televis....ing.cfm (http://www.myetv.org/television/sc_channel/bluegrass/BluegrassStreaming.cfm)
(We are the 8-24-06 show).

I'm actually the bass player in this band, although learning mandolin is my "true love". The mando player in the band is David Snyder, who plays excellent Monroe-style on his Hutto.

Anyhow, I hope you bluegrassers out there will enjoy the program. Let me know what you think!

Thanks,
Brian http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Brian:

It's simply promotion - nothing shameless about it. In fact, I would be proud to be a part of a band like yours. I would shout it from the hilltops!

Kudos to you and your bandmates. Best Wishes to all of you.

You guys sound great. I enjoyed the clip. I'll watch the rest of the bands later. Looks like a good place to play.
Has anyone ever told your mandolin player he looks a lot like Ricky Scaggs? I bet he has never heard that http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif .

Guys,
Thanks for the compliments! It was a lot of fun to do a "TV" gig, and to see all the behind-the-scenes work that goes on to produce something like that. Kudos to the SC ETV staff.

I think our band is coming together well -- we have only been together about 5 months.

If any of y'all ever come through upstate SC, I'd love to meet you at a show (see our schedule at www.lastroadbluegrass.com).

Keep on pickin,
Brian
