Like many here, I keep toying with the idea of building a mandolin from a kit. I am really leaning towards the Stew-Mac campfire mandolin kit (http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Kits/Mandolin_Kits/Campfire_Mandolin_Kit.html), thanks in large part to the fun and colorful examples posted in the "pictures" tab of their catalog entry for it (below) -- as well as due to the gloss red Flatiron I recently saw on eBay.

Note: there have been a few threads in this forum on indivudual's efforts, I wanted to link them here as well, for a comprehensive gallery of our collective efforts on these kits.

PhishPhan's early pics (includes a pic from ToddJoles) (http://www.mandolincafe.net/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=15;t=24639;hl=campfire;st=0 )

PhishPhan's final pics (http://www.mandolincafe.net/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=15;t=29288;hl=campfire)

Epicenter's Thistle & Shamrock (http://www.mandolincafe.net/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=15;t=32957;hl=campfire) (I wonder what kind of music he plays #http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif )

Fred_Zeppelin's pics (http://www.mandolincafe.net/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=15;t=32850;hl=campfire)

So, who else out there has built one of these? Come on a show us your pics!
