I'm desperately trying to think of some clever baby-mandolin double entendre, but only completely stupid things come to mind. So I'll confine my comments right now to:

Congratulations!

May Bella Rebekah live a long and very happy life.

Wow! Most babies look like ET when they first come out. She's a beaut. She reminds me of how my daughter looked as a newborn( she's beautiful too, of course ).

Thank you everyone. John, no mando for her yet BUT this has gotten me thinking about mando's for kids. You know they have such a hard time putting down the 8 strings. Maybe a 4 string nylon mando to get them started young??? There, now we have mando content.

She has so much hair! Really cute. With her eyes shut she's already focusing on tone and intonation, I'm sure.
Congratulations!

We took several pictures of my son lying next to my mandolin so that we could have a record of how small he was. I got the idea from someone who took a picture of a 7 or 8 week old child sleeping next to their Thanksgiving turkey.

Funny this thread popped up this morning. I woke up remembering my first post. Bella is doing great and just learning the power of her voice.Nothing inside a mando case yet. Here's one of her latest.

A cool plastic Macaffari job is what I have in mind. Anyone in 'cafe land with that job skill?

WOW two years old today. She's going to be a lefty mandolin player. Still that's better than a banjo.

John Monteleone told me Macaffari earned like 50 cents each on those Arthur Godfrey plastic ukes.......
and they sold a coupla million of them. John got Macaffari out of retirement & built some guitars with him.

BTW....that sure is a nice birthday girl outfit!!!

Thanks everyone. The dress stayed white all day, couldn't believe it. She got me out of the shower yesterday to show me a double bass on one of her kid TV shows. She's hooked I think.
