This is my latest f-5. My first 5 mandos had LMD on the headstock but I have decided to use my last name instead. This mando is almost done I have a few more days drying time before I string her back up. These were kinda test shots for my new website (would love feedback on the pics). This one has an englemann top, european maple back, oil varinsh finish hand applied stain .... sounded really good in the white can't wait to here her with a little color.

Pics Feedback: That first one would look great on the website! Great composition and colors. The scroll pic looks great, too. I say use them both. The headstock pic is nice, but the lack of strings makes the shot look a little plain.

You build a fine-looking mando...I like the sound of the name "Moss", too. I'm already a fan...

Beautiful work. Thanks for sharing the pictures. String it up and take some more.

Very nice,
Ken

Agree about lack of strings but it does let the figure in the fingerboard shine. I like the mix of b/w back ground with color mando. And BTW that is a fine looking mandolin! Is there a virzi inside and what did you use in the neck (not truss rod cover)?

Thanx Guys

I am going to take soom more pics after I string her up and they will probably be very similiar. That particular mando does not have a virzi but #7 does. And the neck has two parallel carbon fiber rods so there is no truss rod.

That's a beauty! I am continually amazed by the quality of mandolins being made by so many up-and-coming luthiers. Congrats on mandolins 1 through 7! All the best and full acceleration on future efforts! http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Very nice color. I like the dark look, and I hope it sounds as good as it looks when you get it strung up.

Oh, man! Those last ones are some real winners. I will be so bold as to say those are easily my favorite mando pics of anything I've seen. Lighting perfect. Colors perfect. Composition perfect. You have got to use those on the site...
