"Straight-up pickin' on the crooked road" (http://www.usatoday.com/travel/destinations/2006-08-03-crooked-road_x.htm?csp=34)

Mostly accurate and sympathetic -- of course a bit USAToday "breathless" style thrown in, but it's nice to see a good solid article promoting authentic music. There is a good list of websites also. Even a picture of a mando played by a Mr Chase Johner (café member?) and correctly labelled!

Mistakes? Being picky: "At the eastern end of the road in Clintwood, an ode to bluegrass pioneer Ralph Stanley stands in a 2-year-old namesake museum and music center..."

1. he's always Dr. Ralph to me
2. Clintwood is in the west, not east
3. Ralph might disagree with being labelled bluegrass... and I agree.

But, it's nothing but good news and in a popular publication.

good to see Gerald Anderson covered in the slide show.
