I don't know anything about this instrument (or maker), but there is a constant set of questions about mandolins for kids. Here's a kindermandolin. (http://www.guriema.de/Kinder%20en.htm)

Hey, it's great to see that someone is actually making a smaller sized mandolin for younger hands. But at €590 (roughly $750) plus shipping, I don't see it taking off right away, at least not in this part of the country.

I know there have been many discussions about kids mandos here too. A cheap uke is a good place to start. Nylon strings, not a lot of $$$. Sometimes fun for dad (or mom) to plink around on too...
