Yes, when I got home from work yesterday, there was a brand new Eastman 615 lefty waiting for me. Wow, it is beautiful and sounds great right out of the box. Can't imagine what it will sound like after its broken in.
I thank all of you who responded to my posts for information - you were very helpful and supportive. I think I'll be hanging around here for awhile (but I have to split my time with the UMGF).

To show how much of a beginner I am, when I tried tuning it up the first time, I DID tune it to GDAE, but an octive too low! I thought, oh my, does this mando need some setup work. Luckily I had already purchased a beginners book that came with a CD and DVD, and immediately went to the section on tuning. What a relief when I tuned it up properly. It came alive, and so did I. I went through the DVD and learned about a dozen chords, then thought I should stop and spend some time with these and learn the basic chord shapes thoroughly before going any further. I'll post more about this in the Technique section.
