Hi! im new at mandolin i have never played befor, i have played guitar for about 5 years, and i decided to play mandolin because i love how it sounds. I got an Old Hickory F style and was wondering if anybody could give me some reviews on the mandolin. please and thankyou

Jake, welcome, I think that Old Hickory are the same as a great number of chinese mandolins all branded under differant names the one on ebay at the moment is identical to my Infinity. mine is very thin sounding with very poor sustain even with an upgraded bridge and decent strings mind you I may have just got the one made last thing on a Friday http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
