This isn't a festival in the usual sense, it's more a concert series. Scheduled for February 20 - 29th. Some great talent both national and local will be on display, including some groups with Cafe members.

Some of those band names (and descriptions of their music) are hilarious. Wish I could make it, sounds like a blast!

Well, I've got my ticket for Del McCoury and The Crooked Jades. They're playing The Great American Music Hall - possibly my favorite venue, at least inside SF.

I can grab a beer and some fish and chips (wrapped in newsprint) before the show at The Edinborough Castle, just a block from the venue ... and I'm close enough to walk home afterwards. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif

Too bad I'm on the East Coast and broke. Sounds like a great line-up.

Ain't that the truth, man I'd love to hear Suzy Thompson & the Crooked Jades live!

The Crooked Jades were the opening slot for Del McCoury last Friday, and they were terrific. I also learned the members themselves are a driving force behind this SF BG and OT Festival, so kudos to them for such hard work, as well as a great performance!
