Dolly Parton is giving a private concert tomorrow night (April 14) mainly for bigwigs, so even most of of the staff can't get in. But you may have a chance to see Norman and Nancy Blake on Thurday (April 15). Follow the link (http://www.loc.gov/rr/perform/concert/0304-04sched.html#apr15) for info on this and other concerts.

Here's more on the Dolly Concert:

Country music star Dolly Parton will be appearing in the Coolidge Auditorium this Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. to receive the Library’s Living Legend Award and to give a concert performance that will be taped for specials to air in May on the cable channel "Great American Country" and Jones Radio Networks. The invitation-only performance is being sponsored by the Library’s Madison Council and is not open to the general public.

A few tickets for the remaining seats have just been offered to staff members (one each), so I put in a request immediately and am waiting to hear. Wish me luck!

You lucky dog!! - I envy you. Enjoy every minute of it. If ANYONE deserves a "legend" award.., it's Dolly. She's an original and we've been blessed to enjoy her talent(s). Thanks for the "head's up". Please let us (especially ME!) know how it goes. Regards, Moose. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
