So here's a little ditty I wrote while getting some Middle Eastern food on 28th Street yesterday. I recorded it this morning at the apartment.

It's on the "Bluegrass Tip" but moves around a bit...
I ended up playing Mandolin, Guitar, Baritone Guitar, & Viola.

Hope you dig it:

Please comment on not only the playing and writing but also the TONE of the mandolin. I really need some outside opinions on this particular mandolin!

Thanks!

Nice job. It's sorta like Mike Compton meets Andy Statman in the sense that you have that solid country-blues riff and then you step out and become very adventurous #http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

very cool tune to my ears! The mandolin sounds fine and Im not one to tell ya much but it sounded a little thin at times to me. Great job tho...I can see it becoming a steady rotater in my computers jutebox...Thanks! BTW what kinda mandolin are ya playing anyways?
