hey kensteb:

My mother was Norwegian. Her enitire side of the family still lives there. Asker & Lilihammer mainly. I've been quite a few times myself. Great country!

Try typing a specific song. For example type "Spider John lyrics" in a search engine like GOOGLE.COM

Make sure you have SPYWARE protection though as some lyric sites can be dangerous.

My home is approx. 110 km north of Lillehammer; Heidal. Great place for looking at old houses http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif Let me know if you're coming over again and I can show you around.

I've tried the google-search, but there is little of Sam Bush' music to find. At least that I could find.

Some of the songs I'm looking for is:

King of the World
They're Gonna Miss Me When I'm Gone
Eight More Miles To Louisville
Ol' Joe Clark (from Glamoure & Grits)
A Better Man

I'm really missing a good Sam Bush fan-site.

You may be able to find some of the songs you want, because they were not written by sam. I have some of them and got them off the internet

King of the World-Jeff Black
They're Gonna Miss Me When I'm Gone-Jeff Black
Eight More Miles To Louisville-Grandpa Jones
A Better Man-Keb' Mo'

Good luck!

here's a transcription I did a while back for "Eight Miles to Louisville"

Majestic

This place is empty
This place is dark
where have my friends gone?
Used to be
on a sat morn'
you take you a seat and take your turn

Chorus:
High top or low top
The brown leather kid
He make then shine like they never did
Hight heel or low heel
Something for your soul
Pop that rag, majestic

Now Lee is my friend
He's a shoe shine prince
He could shine a hundred shoes in a day
With a smile, who is next?
For a majestic chair
Two steps up and you'll be sitting there

Chorus

It was the other day
Seen him on the street
He said "Why don't you come and visit me?
Oh yes, yes,yes
The Lord's been kind
I been sick, but now I'm fine"

Chorus
