Tenors are just single-course guitar-shaped octave mandolins. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

If it's tuned in fifths, then I don't see a problem with its presence in the classified. #But then again, aren't banjos tuned in fifths? #OK, how about this: if it's tuned in fifths and its soundboard is made of wood, then I don't see a problem with its presence in the classified. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

From the posting guidelines (http://www.mandolincafe.com/cgi-bin/classifieds/classifieds.cgi?print_guidelines_page_button=on) which appear as a link on every page on the classifieds:
- Bouzoukis, citterns and tenor guitars (tuned in fifths) are close enough to the mandolin family that they are allowed here.
But of course, who'd read those!? http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

But don't even THINK about posting an ad for a tenor banjo! Fifths or not!
I'm kidding, I never read the rules.

Athid? What'th athid?
Please don't post a tenor banjo ad. Just me a private email and I will take it off your hands - particularly if it's a pre-war Mastertone.
