After reading an older thread on this topic here (http://www.mandolincafe.net/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=22;t=24580;hl=samick), I was wondering if anyone out there has actually converted any solid-body short scale electric guitars into a mandolin-family instrument. There seem to be a great deal of inexpensive short-scale solid-body electric guitars on the market for <$150US, and as of late, I have seen many Epi Vee-Wee's and Pee-Wee LP's on eBay for <$100US, so I was hoping that someone out there may have performed such conversions.

If so, can you please post your pics here as inspiration for those of us who have been toying with this idea?

To get things started off, here is the aforementioned Epi Vee-Wee. I've been eyeing these lately, but haven't yet picked one up. It has a 19" scale so I was thinking about setting it up with mandola tuning, and capoing it at the 7th fret for mandolin tuning and something approaching mandolin scale.
