I see a couple of Gold tone rigel mandolins on "that" auction site, are these made the same way as "proper"Rigels ie with the carved rims

They are offically liscensed by Rigel... However, you often get what you pay for... Gold tone page on them. (http://www.goldtone.com/products/pages/gm-110.asp) Peter Mix with Rigel has written on the board a couple of times today. Perhaps he can comment on this mandolin Gold Tone makes. I don't believe the Gold Tone has the radiused fingerboard that Rigels are so well known for. There may be other construction differences as well.

Music123 has some buyer reviews. (http://www.music123.com/Goldtone-GM-110-Mandolin-i126012.music)For $650 is this worth it when you can often find a used rigel for ~$1200? Unless you gotta have the shape on this one...
