Skinner's of Boston is auctioning 367 music related items. First page of the instrument display is

Most of the items are violin family, bows, guitars and paper materials, but there are two K-2 mandocellos, and several A and F-style Gibsons from the teens and twenties.

OK, trying this again; couldn't get the link to Skinner's eBay listings to work, so here's a direct link to their website and the auction catalog. Page 1 of auction catalog (http://www.skinnerinc.com/asp/search.asp)
There are 41 pages of instruments, bows, and related paper materials. Probably a dozen mandolin family (est.) Auction is May 7.

Surprised no one has commented on the "lump scroll" D'Angelico (item #40 on page 22). Saw that in the ad for the auction in Vintage Guitar..

If Rich Michaud's reading this, can we get one of your patented "Skinner Reports" on this one? http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I like how the impression of a scroll is made with the inlay. It could have been done a look a little closer to a good scroll. I figure if I ever found a good sounding Gibson lumpy for low enough dollars, I would inlay a scroll profile similar to the idea of this one.
