I picked this up as it was two women who have nice voices together and some mando playing. #Nice new folk music. #Check them out at http://www.diddybops.com. #

Not OT or 60s folk. #Modern singer songwriter folky.

Worth looking at if this stuff is occasionaly your cuppa tea. #I Like It! The Video for Sister Kate has e-mando!

They'll open for Nickel Creek at Merle Fest. On the video page there is mando in just about every song.

decent songs- great voices, and they look a bit wacky with the makeup and costumes- prob a whole bunch of fun to see live.

Saw them open for Nickel Creek around Halloween last year. It was definitely a fun show with a lot of vaudeville style antics going on. For the first 1/3 of the show they had a guy on stage carving a pumpkin. There was juggling and dramatics and just a whole lot of fun. One of the many highlights were the improvised pirate songs they played through out the show.
I would definitely go see them again.

Two years and half years ago I was walking through the Santa Monica Farmers Markey and i saw a very cute girl(Amanda) trying to play some chords on the mandolin. I was with my girlfriend who said I had to stay away from her. Knowing that I may make a comment or suggestion.Later that summer I saw a band improve on the Venice Board Walk, Amand was in the back beiing very carefull and shy and trying to keep up. I stopped and watched, who could resist her charm. That next Summer I saw them as The Ditty Bops perform at the Famers Market, they stole the crowd, Amanda in mini dress was still learning but could really sing. They said they were performing a Largo on fairfax in West Hollywood. I went to see them there and became my favorite you teenage lust girl band.I had worked years back with the Go Go's and later The Bangles and I knew that this was the next big thing.I was at Merlefest and I told Amanda this story, and it was proclaimed I am the first Amanda Ditty Bop Fan.
