View Full Version : Wanted - Lloyd Loar Donation

Apr-23-2006, 2:56pm
Wanted: Original Lloyd Loar F5 Gibson, 1923, prefer side binding on body, flower pot only, original case.

Been workin' over 30 years and can't quite pull the funds together. I'm very deserving and would promise to take real good care of it. Need lessons badly too. Any help is appreciated. No ebay resale or auctions. I plan to keep it for a long time. I's real nice. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Do you want a hard copy print or could I just send you the jpeg file? You'll be on your own for the lessons no matter how nice you are.

Go over to that guys house nearby, hit him on the head just hard enough for brain damage, sign a power of attorney, you can have the mandolins, I'll take the guitars, donate the rest to charity just to keep things on the up and up. #http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Actually, you were with me when I bought mine for $8000. #As I remember you chose to pay off your house, or was it to buy that little sports car http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I would like some one to donate a loar to me also but I would settle to just be able to go over and look at one once and a while. Does anyone in south west Michigan ( near Kalamazoo) have a Loar they would like to sell tickets for a monthly viewing.

F5joe, that appears to be the one I'm talking about. How come it's undressed. Is that the Monteleone next to it or the "Dude"

Apr-24-2006, 2:32pm
Dude on left. You brought Lloyd to my house naked. I believe you had just put a new neck in it. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

O yes, a mind is a terrible thing. #I thought it was 73747 undressed for some reason. #I should know that 73747 never gets undressed in public, and I thought your "Dude" had silver, that's why I thought Monty. PS, Byron that item in stock now

Maybe you should start with a big red paperclip http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
