FYI---I recently had an opportunity to visit with Sim Daley at his shop. He is a very nice guy and makes a great sounding instrument. Nice and throaty. He used to work for gibson and if I understood him correctly, made over 1800 mandolins while working for them and has made quiet a few under his own name. Some of you guys looking at custom-small shop instruments should consider him. No, I dont have a dog in the hunt....Just want to spread the word about a really nice guy who does really nice work.
