I've been wondering about how set in stone it is to play certain traditional songs in certain keys at a bluegrass jam. For instance, I like to play "Down By The Willow Garden" in D, but I'm not sure if I'll get stoned for breaking tradition (not sure what key it's "supposed" to be played in) by the traditionalists. The reason I ask is I'm going to a new jam and don't want to get branded as a heretic on my first night. Thanks.

No, I was just telling you where to find some input about your question. I'm not a member of the thread police. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
