thats a very cool looking instrument, do you know who makes it? is it a bowlback, the top suggests it, but just wondering.

Thanks. It is one of luthier, Ken Miller's earlier mandolins from the late '70s, modeled after the cant-top Martins. Cedar top, mahogany sides and back, maple neck. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on it!
