I too am on Andrew's list, with an expected delivery date of sometime in August. Watching your mando come together is going to make the wait even harder.

There are other pics in the first My Mowry Mando thread of Andrew doing the body, woods ect. Congrats on your choice and post pics when the process starts. Lp

Thanks, and believe me I will.

I saw the other thread you started too. Looks like it is going to be one stunning instrument. What kind of top wood is yours. Andrew told me he was building one with red spruce right now; is that yours? If so I'd be very interested to hear a detailed report about the sound when you get it. You see I am still on the fence myself between red and engelmann.

James look at the "Why I am Lucky" thread in this forum and there are pics of one of Andrew's F5s coming together. The mandolin is for David G. Real nice too!! Lp

I've probably spent hours already, looking at that thread. And in terms of appearance my mando is going to be something of a clone of that one. I'm opting for a simmilar one piece back (in fact it came from the same piece of wood), and for that same color.

It looks like whoever sent that chestnut to Andrew as a guide has spawned a whole family of instruments.

Functionally there are going to be a number of differences, but watching Dave's mando come together might have been what put me over the edge.

Thanks J. and I can't wait for a detailed description. Especialy now that I know that you are getting the red...

Very, very nice - I really like the headstock shapes.

When you get that jewel we are going to have to get together with Greg H. and have a "Mandolin Tasting"!
