I have an inquiry from someone that a 1939 Epiphone Windsor Special scroll model mandolin was pictured here on the board recently. I can't find it. The collector interested in this (everyone knows the name but I'm sparing him) has only seen one other one in his years of research and would like to communicate with the individual that owns or posted this. If anyone has knowledge of this please contact me. Thanks.

Well, I searched Co-Mando, and he posted the pics here in January but I guess they are gone. The person who made the post at Co-Mando was: Harry Gilbert <harryg@pacbell.net>

You can find the thread at:

I know who owns it now. The person interested is a very, very prominent vintage legend and simply wants information. I've contacted the owner. He's chosen to not respond so far and that's his right. Here's the mandolin in question below:

http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif I was looking for those photos and thread again and could not find them. Is their an archive to view these photos again?

That picture was posted in Sept. 2002. The software that drives this board has limited capabilities so it's impossible to archive everything. We're testing right now extending archiving from 60 to 90 days on threads where there's been no reply during that time frame.

Bud,
I saved some of the pictures from that posting; shoot me an e-mail, and I'll send them to you.
