schertler and phantom pwer

I just bought a shertler contact P.U. I haven't tried it yet because I heard that the phantom power that my Allan and Heath mixer supplies through the xlr could damage it. Anybody know about this?

I do know that the Schertler does not require phantom power and that I have used mine countless times where the board was supplying phantom power to all channels and the Schertler has NOT been damaged.
