View Full Version : Nancy Wilson from Heart
Greetings,
# # OK I missed the boat on this one. But it seems in 1999 or so Nancy put out a live solo album where she plays some mandolin. I knew she played mandolin. What I'm wondering is if anyone has heard this CD and if so how much mando does she play?

She plays mando on ~ 2 songs (from memory)...Its an all acoustic live recording, meaning levels are not perfect. #Well worth the price of admission just for her version of "in your eyes". # IMHO

I was hoping to find a picture of Nancy playing the mandolin so I could put her in the "women with mandolins" thread, but no luck so far.

Thanks Jeff!
Duh, how could I have forgotten? I guess I just wanted to keep the other thread alive. That is a nice picture. It was nice to see all of the variety on page 9 again.

You can also download Heart playing Led Zeppelin's "Battle of Forevermore" live on acoustic instruments on I-Tunes by searching under their alias: "The Lovemongers." It's great.

Nancy Wilson is one of the most underrated guitarists I know. I think her good looks have gotten in the way of appreaciating her wonderfully clean and spare style.
