ira - Did you see the tab file on co-mando? Gives a few useful licks. Been playin' that for the last year and still love playin' it. Did ya know the original, Gambler's Blues, was a traditional tune from back in the late 1800s? Talk about yer old blues, too cool.

Also, give Bluegrass Stomp a try, lotsa places you can go with it being yer basic blues progression, nice one fer jammin'.

Been workin on Milk Cow Blues lately. Nice tune. My wife insists on calling it Mad Cow Blues.

Is there a version of Milk Cow Blues available on the internet for free? Standard notation preferred.

Thanks-

There's a version at co-mando.com I believe, the tab files also have standard up above, think it's in the bluegrass download of TEF files they have.

"Bluegrass Stomp" can easily be carried away into a great blues jam kinda thing. Another good one, though not too old, is "Every Day I Have The Blues".

What key are they doin "Thrill" in? The only music I could find on the web has it in Bm but the changes don't seem quite right to my ear, Bm, G7, F#7.

They usin' Am, Dm, F, E?

I do Saint James also. A somewhat similar song is One Kind Favor- chords Am, E and Dm. Very cool sound. I also like to do Albera, Midnight Special, John Lee Hooker's Uniform Blues and others.
