Couldnt quite find the yahoo group. Could you bee of assistance? I found bluegrass and that was as close as I could seem to get.

I haven't the slightest idea, I ordered mine in '99 and got it in 2000- more or less on time, as i remember- the price and waiting time may have gone up in 4 years-

your top reasons for playing the om makes me want one right now. as i just had a mando built for me, i will have to wait, but "the coolest instrument ever" and think like a mando player and play in the range of a guitar" are 2 excellent reasons for getting one.
