I finally committed to a new mandolin by Andrew Mowry. I have admired his craft and looked with envy at the mandolins on his site. The pictoral progression of David G's mandolin coming to life was enough to get me on board. I have spoken with Andrew and have found him to be very knowledgeable and just as excited as I am re my new mandolin. He got the quilted maple from Spruce at Winterfest and I think its gonna be a beauty. I'll share in the progress as pics are forwarded to me. More on the particulars as they come. Lp

Lane - that's very cool! I love the look of that quilted wood you've got there. Nice choice and I am sure Andrew knows what to do with it. No doubt you'll enjoy watching your instrument "grow." Mine is getting closer to completion, and I look forward to meeting my new inspiration.
