I'm getting a Neil Dean mandolin made for me and I would love to see some pictures of more of his mandolins. There's plenty on his website, but I need more! Thanks. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

Here's some pictures Neil sent me from IBMA. #They were comparing one of his A styles to a Dudenbostel that looked very similar.

Neil does something with the tuners to make them fit in tighter to the headstock. #He told me what it was but I forgot...

Probably the best source for photos would be his web site:

Awright, if I can figger this out, I'll post a few of my NJD A-5, German spruce top, red maple back & sides, varnish finish, one-piece back. Fantastic mando. Bought it from Neil in January 2006 via the Cafe classifieds. It passed through many hands at Wintergrass and was well-received. Cheers to Neil for making great mandos and being very cool & easy to deal with.

I love his A5's. He has captured that classic look that both Dudes and Gils have. I'm looking forward to playing one someday.

Yes, Pete, that is a bit eerie. You shooting pix in my house now? ... What's that mando?

When I saw the chair in your photo I noticed that I had almost exactly the same chair. The mandolin is actually a Fletcher Brock Oval-Hole. I also had a tone guard to complete the picture. But it was the chair that actually sparked the idea!

Larry Wexer's couch is famous too!
