I ate this little fella a few years ago at my favorite japanese rest.

hhmmmmmmmm Abalone. (bottle cap for size perspective)

Used to be able to buy Abalone in Calif grocery stores in the 50's , over fished them too.
I got a ground down souveneir Paua shell thats wild ,with blues, purples and greens.
wonder if Kiwis Control take,ie limits to keep the same thing from happening.
