Here's a picture of me playing the choro "Assanhado", by Jacob do Bandolim, on the world's smallest mandolin:

Here, for scale, is the piccolo together with a normal-sized mandolin:

And, still another picture (playing Bach, this time):

You can't see in the picture, but the label inside says "Magistral". The instrument has 4 nylon strings, and a guitar-like bridge.

I would post some MP3s, but unfortunately my recording equipment doesn't capture such high frequencies!

The label inside? #You gotta be kidding. Are your pets giving you peculiar looks and wondering where all those high frequency licks are coming from? #That's hilarious! http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

Does it use standard cross bracing? Tension rod? http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Piccolini-ini-ini?

Maybe these folks at Cornell (http://www.oddmusic.com/gallery/om22000.html) can make a nano-mandolin.

I had no idea that the picture of Eva Scow on my Tone Poets CD liner was actual size!

If you ask me the tone on that Cornel guitar is a little thin.

It's a toy, of course; my Mom sent it to me for my birthday. It has real strings (4 of them), a real bridge, real nut, realistic frets, and non-functional tuners. It even has a nice bookmatched back (i wish i had a picture to show)! Cute.
