This was built in Dec but not done till now. Sitka one piece top, curly maple back/sides, Camphor burl headstock with Mop ovals and "The Newell". Thanks Bruce Harvie for the wood on this one.

The Camphor burl headstock. I love to cut or sand this stuff in the shop! The smell is great. The pics don't show the cool reddish dots that are around 1/8 diameter scattered throught the figure.

Here is a better picture of the peghead before final finish coats. The red dots are natural and have the coolest smell.

Looks great! Is a one-piece top better for acoustic or structural reasons? Pretty cool.
