What bg festivals are in your area this season? Our closest one is the one in Mayville NY in Western New York State. Their website is mayvillebluegrassfestival.com (Sorry, never learned to post a link!)

They've just announced a mando-pickin' contest sponsored by Weber. (No financial interest in said festival or contest sponsor)

We've got Bean Blossom just over the way. They do two big Bluegrass Festivals each year.

Over here in Colorado, we seem to have bluegrass festivals coming out the wazoo. #Not that its a bad thing. #Let's see, we have...

Bluegrass on the River, Pueblo CO
Telluride BG
Rockygrass, Lyons CO
Keystone BG Fest, Keystone CO
North Fork BG Fest, Hotchkiss CO
High Mountain Hay Fever BG Fest, Westcliffe CO

And I'm sure I'm leaving a bunch out...

Not to mention other fests in other states a short drive away. #I think there's literally a festival every weekend this summer less than a days drive away. #I think we're playing at half a dozen of them or so. #Boy, it's gonna be a FUN summer http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mandosmiley.gif

Well, let's see, there's the Spring Strawberry Music Festival, then the Fall Strawberry Music Festival, both right outside Yosemite, the Bower's Mansion Bluegrass Festival outside of Carson City, Millpond Music Festival in Bishop, Ca., and with any luck Jugfest will return to Sutter Creek. Then there's always CBA's Father's Day Festival down by Sacrademento, and then the High Sierra Music Festival in Quincy, Ca., guess it's all out there, just gotta find the time & money to go!

While there are many great festivals up here in the Pacific Northwest all summer long, there are only two that I'm going to visit:

1) #The Darrington Bluegrass Festival, Darrington, WA - July 16 -18 with Rhonda Vincent as the headliner

2) #The Chilliwack Bluegrass Festival, Chilliwack, BC - Labor Day Weekend with Kane's River as the headliner

I just bought a new Coleman pop-up tent trailer and I'm really looking forward to being able to sleep comfortably (for about 1 hour!). # http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Hey Mandopete, we just bought a new pop-up trailer too. Fleetwood by Coleman... I'm stoked to use that this summer http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Reminder... bring earplugs if you plan on sleeping.

Duuude forgot the Hardly Strictly Bluegras Festival in SF in October (though this year it might be in Oakland). It's free and always has a great lineup.

Right you are Wadefox, yet another fine fest that I promised myself not to miss, though I'll probly space it again by then. Thanks for the reminder!
