Buffalo Brothers! (http://www.buffalobrosguitars.com/)
enjoy dinner in La Jolla. There is a pizza parlor that has a lot of mando players tailgating in North County. Not sure where it's at but I am sure some member will speak up.

John Reischman is playing on Jan 28!!!
Also, there are two bluegrass clubs in town, and as a result there is a jam every tuesday night. Each tuesday of the month is at a different place...next tuesday (Jan 24) is at:
Boll Weevil Restaurant - Miramar
7080 Miramar Road
San Diego, CA 92121
I find this to be a wierd place to jam as it is basically across the street from Miramar Air Station and fighter jets fly by regularly...But, you may want to check it out, anyway.
More info about southern california bluegrass happenings can be found at http://members.aol.com/intunenews/ - look at the calendar page.

It's at "Today's Pizza and Salad" in Encinitas. I think it's Thursday night. Here's the website.
Give them a call, or talk with Steve at Buffalo Brothers. It's a fun jam, and can range from 10 to more than 25 players. $5 for pizza and salad during the set break. We moved from Carlsbad back in August, but I went most weeks when we lived there.

ok-- no mando content, but a GREAT restaurant called Indigo Grill in or near the Little Italy part of town. It is not an Italian restaurant tho. It features cuisines and foods that are native to California...featuring different regions and products.
Very nice restaurant with interesting, earthy decor, and excellent food.[B]
we now return you to mando content...

Okay....
...well that's great to hear that my ultimate weakness "Italian food" is all over the place. I should have been born Italian.
I could eat pizza and pasta every night of the week if I didn't have to worry about the lbs/kilos.
Thank you all for your input. I sure hope to get do these things.
I'll keep you posted if anything mando related happened.
