Grover tuners. Neck has Carbon fiber, MoP nut, dovetail neck joint with locking dowels, tone bars, and MoP fret markers.
Hope you like it.

Keith -

I like the look of that strap, that's how I do one on an A-style. What kind of strap is that?

Thanks,

Kirk Albrecht

Beautiful mandolin! Is it modeled after the Loar A5?

Looks like a good old plain piece of rawhide shoe string. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mandosmiley.gif

Keith - VERY nice! #I like it!

Are there any issues with the filed slots 'changing' within the MOP nut? #As in, is that as hard and durable as a bone or corian nut from the perspective of running strings repeatedly through it? #

I ask only because I've never seen a MOP nut! #Thanks!

Yep its a plain ol' rawhide shoelace.
As far as the MoP nuts go I havent seen any wear on the ones I use and some are 3 years old. Depaule Supply sells them and I also have tried their Red Sea Snail nuts which are like pearl in consistancy but some cool color streaks in them. In fact the Red snail doesn't seem quite as brittle as the MoP.

Ah Clyde...tip of the iceberg but we don't let go of our secrets so easy. Ask me about mountain oyster wood sometime http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
