New to the forum and don't own a mandolin yet. I have read the other threads about entry level mando's but haven't found anything about the acoustic electric ones that are out there.
It would seem logical to me because the body is so small the electric components would take up a relatively large amount of space, so they would decrease vibration and muffle sound quality when not plugged in. But I could be wrong. I'm married and have kids, so it cetainly wouldn't be the first time.
