Here are a few more pics of #75. I'm very happy w/ this mandolin - how it plays and sounds. I admit, I was a bit skeptical that Don could match the tone of my '23 snakehead. What a surprise - this plays and sounds like a suped-up snakehead. It's louder and has more sustain than the '23, yet doesn't give up anything in terms of tone color. A very fun instrument to play! Thanks and praises, Don.

The finish is what I'm calling "smoked eggplant" - a bit hard to describe. Really interesting, imo.

friday the 13th my ###! #you really are luckylarue. #it's been a long wait for that one, but certainly worth it. #don is darn good at those oval hole a's. #congrats and may you have many long years with that beauty.

Baba Ganoush! That's it, otterly! Someone else in an earlier post called it Ogden's Nut Gone Flake after the Small Faces classic lp. I love both titles.
Jeff, I didn't realize it was the 13th - I think Don has built the perfect Ying to your pumpkin Yang.

Beautiful.
Mr. Paine is indeed good with the oval A's, but to be sure he also makes a stunning F4 if I do say so.(and I do)
