I just got mine today from Elderly and couldn't be happier. They seem kind of hard to keep in stock so I put a deposit down to hold the next one they got in.

There is an especially fine one at Mass St. Jim the owner is one of Bill's very close friends. They also have one of the F's there but i didn't have time to play it. Great mandolins.

why the big price difference between
a Collings MT & Gibson A9??

Because they can sell them for that much more. People evidently are willing to pay about 500 dollars more to get a Collings instead of an A-9. I actually traded my A-9 for an MT because I liked the sound and looks that much better. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
