Here is my StewMac "A" kit with stain and varnish, but not buffed out. This is the next to last picture; the last one will be posted when it is finished and strung up.

NIce job !!.....This is a great looking mando !.....It makes me want to build one myself ....What did you find the hardest to do on it ? ..... I wouldn't build one from scratch, but this kit look's like just the ticket .....Thanks for sharing ....Sincerely, Jim

The hardest part for me was the stain and varnish, and I could still mess it up sanding and buffing it out. I have some experience with most of the other aspects, and with the kit, the critical neck joint and the bent sides are already done. I really enjoyed working on it and I would definitely recommend kit building for anyone wanting to learn the basics. You can make it as simple or complex as you like.
