What do you learn/do at one of these workshops? Is it a beginers type of thing of what?

I will be attending the workshop at Elderly, I can't wait.
Hopefully the wheather will cooperate as I have to drive about two hours to get there. You never know about early December in Michigan.

Dano, according to Elderly it is a very hands on workshop and is probably best suited for intermmediate players. Also, it would help if you are a big Monroe fan as that is Compton's style. I want to call Elderly and see if audio taping will be allowed. It is always good to be to refer back to a tape later.
