If I should feel the need to replace my recently departed Kentucky Dawg mandola with another one with a 16" scale length; what options do I have? #If I went custom, I wouldn't want to ask a builder to deviate from his/her standard.
It would be nice not to spend a whole lot more than $2K for an f-hole A-style.
(Hmm, that question-mark up front sure is an eye-catcher. How do I edit that?)

My normql mandola scale length is 16.00". I can use other scale lengths at no extra cost. 15.75" is the original Gibson mandola scale length. Prices are on my web site, accessible through the Eye Candy link.

Old Wave Mandolins use 16" scale (I think Bill Bussmann will also build at 17"). Really wonderful dola by the way.

I'm sure Weber and others will make a 16 incher as well. I have a Weber Bridger with a 17" scale that I like.

Good luck.
