I haven't thought about that song for years, but I just realized that I still remember all of the lyrics. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

I ran into the same problem with only finding the lyrics, but when I googled chords "don't bogart me" , I found this link (http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/f/fraternity_of_man/dont_bogart_me_crd.htm).

thanks alot,
tried it out with a combo of closed/chop position and bar chords - lots of fun, and super easy. i think i just found a new opener for the open mic this friday!

Ira- You be da man! Where are these open mics at? I think it would be worth a cafe caravan to check it out!

How did the dark star turn out? Was I even close? I still haven't checked it out myself...

dark star....wound up not doing it due to the huge number of performers- we always had 5-8 and wound up with 13 (14 incl. me)- which is a good thing, and still working on the riff (the verses sound really funky and good if i say so myself). will hopefully bust it out this friday or next month.
also doing solo mando/vocal= don't bogart, for what its worth, girl from north country and one or 2 orig. with others- some orig., morning dew, so lonely -nowomannocry, woman don't love me (based on a yank tune) into little red rooster.
the open mic is at casey's crossing in holliston, ma- anyone and everyone is invited and i promise you a forgiving crowd and round of applause- any genre -acoustic music, from beginners to pros are welcome on the 2nd friday of every month.
peace my friends.

dont bogart -which was great while i practiced it, did not come out that well. well rec'd due to the song/content, but not played well by me. i am starting to see that although i like my digitech processor, on many songs that i want to play solo, just plain old sweet mando sound and a little percusive chording goes a loooooooooong way toward making a song sound right (but i guess that is a topic for another thread). at the very least both myself and a number of attendees were amused by my choice.
i intro'd the song by asking if anyone knew what the greatest social faux pas was, and after a number of answers from the audience, i told them that i had the number one answer and played the song.:D
