Hello folks, got this one polished and strung up today. Please give me some input, need to know if I will ever make another like it?. It sounds great, loud for a new mando. smooth player too!.It is difficult to do a layered paint scheme on an instrument. I was worried that the finish would get too thick, but it didnt. Had it at Randy Wood today for the Saturday jam, it cut through real nice.I appreciate your comments..it helps me as a builder.

and finally , the fingerboard....thanks for looking. I realize this mando is a little un-orthodox looking, but I was ready for something different.

Barry,

Cool Goblet of Fire inlay in the head stock. Ok I'm rereading the series to get ready for the movie... That really looks nice. The only thing I think a mando that looks that boss needs is a pick up. I was just thinking tonight... I wonder if I can find the music/tab to Rumble by Link Wray. If this guy sells (and I believe it should)you should deffinately keep it in the arsenal as something to make for people.

That's a bad ole mando! http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/blues.gif

Excellent mando, Barry. Nothing at all wrong with letting your creativity hang out.

Cool! The flames look a lot like the flames my grandad painted on his hotrod '32 Ford Coupe one time. Now, you're gonna have to get it chopped and lowered!

Or just play some chops...

Here's a picture of the rod. It's kinda hid by me and some other greasers. We had a doo-wap group when we were in college. This is a grainy old scan of the cassette tape case cover we had made. I'm sure it'll be very valuable one day! http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
