Rand asked me to post indian corn pics. Last year he stopped in to give me a bottle of labrott and woolford whiskey and have me make a mando the same color, photos on another old thread. This year he sopped in with an ear of indian corn, heres the result so far:

That's the corniest mandolin I've ever seen. Beautiful!

That's brilliant!

I have always wanted an instrument with a green tint much like the flanks of a healthy smallmouth bass. It's amazing what nature can inspire. That corn finish is fantastic.

Peace, Mooh.

Thanks, Bruce of Princess Xena and the Old Men Boys wanted that smallmouth bass look but I could only come up with 'The Guppy'

Bill, you build some really cool and wild stuff! How do you fit those into building with your others? http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif That's definetely no Loar copy right there! http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I want to say that these funny mandos sound very nice! I was fortunate enough to have played "Juicy" and found it difficult to put down! Bill, check out the "post a picture of your mando gathering" where you see it received the "highest" praise!

Bill it looks beautiful but why didn't you paint the individual corn kernels to make it look more real!

You gonna use that corn to make more whisky? This could be an endless circle! Excellent!
