volume
tone
playability
longevity

well, monels are the sam bush sound..and they last a long time..silk and steel have a warm non-matalic sound, although the A and E strings are the same as the GHS brand A270 and PF270 sets (my personal favorites with the 16 thousands A strings. i have used the A270s exclusively for many years) i would guess the monels will have more projection and volume , although with the 14 thousands A strings-- but the silk and steel have a dryer richer tone
