Preface this with the fact that I think KJP is one of the most talented new blues guys I've ever heard (YMMV); on Slingshot Prophets he enlists Jesse Zubot to play both violin and mandolin. Really tasty mando; anybody know of Zubot's duo work
with Steve Dawson?

I haven't heard their own stuff but the mandolin playing on Slingshot Professionals is lovely.

Yeah, the album is worth having by itself, but Zubot's mandolin and fiddle are great additions; the mando is not on every track however.
Ira,if you haven't heard Phelps before, see if you can sample some tunes before you buy, some folks don't like him.
His songs are like poetry set to music rather then standard blues themes. Heavy into characters and spirtuality too.
