Here are pictures of the first two mandolins made by Christian
mirabella. Both were built in the last year. Chris is a good friend of mine, and an excellent luthier specializing in custom made reproduction parts, and vintage restorations.

Interesting. The two-point profile looks to have been inspired by Martin's styles 2-20 and 2-30, but incorporating the asymmetric points of the post-1920 Lyon & Healy style A. Do you know, ejkauf99, if these were Mr. Mirabella's source of inspiration for this instrument? How does this sound? Does Chris have a website?

Hi Eugene:
Actually The design is taken from one of the D Angelico Mandolins. It all started when A good customer had the oppurtunity to buy a D Aquisto mando with a smashed top. Chris wanted to show the man how the top would be carved. The deal fell through, and Chris had this nice top so he just took it
from there. He can be reached through his website at www.mirabellaguitars.com or you could call him at the workshop
tues-friday 1:00-5:00 PM I am glad you like what you see.
best regards
Jeff
